First section of the Patagonian Route 40, crossing the Andean Region, El Bolsón, Epuyén, Cholila, and Los Alerces National Park until Cwm Hyfryd. Accommodation in the city of Trevelin at a fly fishing lodge.
We'll savor a typical "asado" meal accompanied by local beers and cold patagonic wines.

Enjoy a loop motorcycle tour through the trail that opened the valley to Welsh colonization in 1885. Starting from Trevelin, you'll pass through Esquel and Arroyo Pescado, once an important commercial center and transport hub.

Continue along the Rifleros Trail, surrounded by sheep farms and stunning landscapes, until you reach the historic Plebiscite School of 1902, where settlers chose their Argentine destiny. Finally, arrive at our hotel in Trevelin, just in time to savor some delicious river trout.

Heritage tour in Trevelin in the morning, visiting both the Andes Museum and the Bethel Chapel (1897). In the afternoon, transfer to Esquel, just 25 km away, to visit the Seion Chapel (1904) and enjoy a gathering with the local Welsh community, featuring beer, traditional food, and delightful singing. This is a day off the bike, perfect for buying gifts and enjoying pleasant walks.

Experience the vast expanse of pure Patagonian steppe as we depart from Trevelin, heading towards Tecka, Gobernador Costa, Rio Mayo, and Perito Moreno in the province of Santa Cruz.

While it is a long stretch of road, it presents no technical challenges aside from the wind.

We will stay overnight in a very nice hotel in Los Antiguos, renowned for its cherry exports, nestled on the shores of Lake Buenos Aires, which is large enough to easily fit the Isle of Man (572 km²), the Isle of Wight (380 km²), and Anglesey (Wales) (714 km²). Lake Buenos Aires is comparable in size to the Eryri / Snowdonia National Park.

In this region, discover the Welsh influence through the history of the River Fénix irrigation project and the negotiations of the borders with Chile.

With the Andes to our right, guiding the way, we fully enter the extraordinary Santa Cruz plateau.

The geography is stunning, with vibrant colors in the geological formations. We will pass by the Rio Pinturas and the famous "Cave of Hands," showcasing remnants of human art from 9,000 years ago.

Accommodation will be at an active sheep ranch offering tourist services. There, we will experience the authentic daily life of Patagonian gauchos.

We head southwest towards the great glacial lakes that spill from the Southern Ice Field in the Andes Mountains. We will pass by Lake Viedma with its deep gray color to reach Lake Argentino, an incredible turquoise. We will stop at La Leona, the site where the infamous American outlaws Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid hid before being caught.

Accommodation is planned in the vibrant city of El Calafate, where we will prepare for our visit to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.

Embark on an exciting excursion to the front of the glacier, one of the few on the planet in mass balance, featuring ice walls soaring up to 60 meters high.

We will enter the stunning Los Glaciares National Park, where we may spot majestic condors and eagles. On the glacier, you’ll have the option for a thrilling navigation experience or a walk on the ice.

The tour is conducted by minibus, allowing you to enjoy the day comfortably without motorcycle protection gear. We conclude the day with a delicious Argentine barbecue dinner in El Calafate.

Last long stretch of the Patagonian steppe to enter Chile at Paso Don Guillermo, followed by our entry to Torres del Paine National Park.

We will stay inside the park, in a high-category hotel. We will ride our motorcycles to explore various points of interest in Torres del Paine National Park, allowing us to appreciate the stunning granite peaks of the towers and horns, the turquoise lakes, and the hanging glaciers.

On the last day of our motorcycle adventure, we will journey south, starting with a visit to the Milodon Cave, a remarkable site that once sheltered a giant prehistoric mammal.

Afterward, we'll enjoy lunch in Puerto Natales, a charming town nestled in the fjords at the end of the world. Following two hours of exhilarating riding along the scenic Última Esperanza Sound, we will arrive at the Strait of Magellan, where we will stay in Punta Arenas, the departure point for our return flight.
